July 2010: Some of our new ACF 70-ton Gondola replicas have a production defect that has caused the car to sit too low and therefore not roll properly or have proper coupler height.   Luckily, there is a simple fix for less than 10 cents per car.   We recommend unscrewing the trucks and placing one Kadee 0.010 (item 209) or 0.015 (item 208) washer on the bolster, and then reattach the truck.   To learn more about the Kadee-brand washers for adjusting car height, the parts are listed here.   Should you not have Kadee washers in your toolbox, contact us and tell us your address and how many cars your purchased, and we will send you the necessary washers.   We regret and apologize for this defect; we did not catch it until you, our customers, brought it to our attention after production was complete and a significant number of models were in transit to customers.   We will be sure to fix this in future production runs, and again, we apologize for any inconvenience caused.
